More about us

Theoretical, empirical and applied

Theoretical, empirical and appliedThe European Society for Phraseology (EUROPHRAS) sees itself as a central platform for all those who deal with fixed word combinations and formulaic language use – theoretically, empirically and applied. The society regularly organises international conferences and supports scientific projects as well as young academics. A central concern is the continuous exchange of information on current developments, events, publications and ongoing or planned research projects in the field of phraseology. EUROPHRAS also maintains contact with related scientific societies and is committed to closer co-operation within and outside Europe.
